Major December Premier League boost for West Ham that many have missed, David Moyes will be elated

West Ham United have been given a right touch ahead of what is a really busy Premier League festive December schedule lying in wait.

The Premier League Christmas period can be extremely unforgiving at times, but West Ham are in a better situation than most it seems.

Hammers boss David Moyes has received plenty of criticism from some sections of the London Stadium faithful this season for the turgid football that he keeps rolling out, and the form of Mohammed Kudus has been one of the only bright sparks for us over the past few months.

Now though, it seems like we have something else to be really positive about, and it involves the unrelenting festive Premier League schedule.

David Moyes will be absolutely delighted with something in particular about our run of games over the next month or so…

West Ham handed Premier League December treat

The Hammers have less miles to travel than any other Premier League team in the month of December.

The only travel of note that we face is on December 20th, when we head to Anfield to take on Liverpool in the Carabao Cup quarter-final.

Starting from Thursday night, we face three away games in the Premier League, and all of those are London derbies against Tottenham, Fulham and Arsenal respectively.

During the month of December we have home games against Freiburg in the Europa League and then Wolves and Manchester United in the Premier League.

Then on into January, the Hammers have two home games before the two-week winter break – against Brighton in the league and Bristol City in the FA Cup.

From December 21st up until the end of the year, we face less travel than any other Premier League club – just 10 miles (talkSPORT).

To have such limited travel to deal with over the next four weeks or so is a huge blessing for the East London outfit.

And David Moyes will be absolutely delighted with the Premier League December schedule that West Ham face.

The lack of any kind of major travel should serve us really well during the lead up to Christmas, and during the aftermath of the festive period as well.
