The Hammers signed the 23-year-old centre-back from Toulouse in the summer of 2018 for around £25 million (The Express).
Issa Diop really impressed during his debut campaign at the London Stadium.

The Frenchman has regressed badly over the past 12 months or so, however.
So it is somewhat surprising to hear ExWHUemployee claiming that Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp could try to bring West Ham defender Diop to Anfield.
On his day, the former Toulouse man is a top class centre-back. He is very rough around the edges, however.
Issa Diop is raw, but has great potential, and if he is coached properly, there is no reason why the 6ft 4in ace can’t go on to become a truly top class centre-back.

The West Ham ace returned to David Moyes’s team for Wednesday’s clash with Crystal Palace. He was far from impressive, however. And it would be no surprise to see him drop back to the bench for Monday’s trip to Chelsea.
It would be a real shock if Liverpool do in fact try to sign Diop in January.
