That secured Europa League group stage football for West Ham, an exciting prospect for the club.

But some West Ham fans are concerned by the club’s lack of transfer activity ahead of a jam-packed campaign.

Liverpool and West Ham have both added only one new player in the summer window so far.

Klopp has signed defender Ibrahima Konate while Moyes has brought in goalkeeper Alphonse Areola.

Liverpool and West Ham linked with host of players – including each other’s

Both Liverpool and West Ham have been linked with a host of other players. Indeed the Reds have reportedly had their eyes on Hammers Declan Rice and Jarrod Bowen while West Ham allegedly want Divock Origi Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Nat Phillips.

Despite West Ham fans raising concern over the lack of new arrivals, Klopp offered some perspective by pointing out that Moyes already has a strong side which has kept hold of its best players (Sky Sports).

And he says the Hammers will once again push the traditional top four clubs hard.

“I mention only these four (top clubs Man City, Man United, Chelsea and Liverpool), but it will not be only these four (fighting for the top positions),” Klopp said in his pre-match press conference (Sky Sports).

“It looks like Leicester made really good business again, Arsenal is trying, Tottenham is obviously trying really hard. There are so many teams.

“West Ham played their best season for a long time last year, they didn’t get worse over the summer so we are in an interesting league again, very, very interesting.”
