The Times first reported that West Ham were keen to sign £5 million-rated Hibernian teenager a couple of months ago.
Doig is highly rated at Easter Road.

In 22 Scottish Premiership outings for Hibs last season, the left-back racked up one goal and three assists. He averaged 1.7 tackles, 0.7 interceptions, 1.3 clearances and 1.3 successful aerial duels per game during those outings (Who Scored).
West Ham eyeing Josh Doig?
ExWHUemployee claims that the teenager arriving at the London Stadium late on transfer deadline day is a possibility.
David Moyes clearly wants to bring in a top class left-back and although Doig is still very young, he certainly has the potential to go on and become an elite player.

£5 million for a player with the young Scot’s talent and potential seems like outstanding value.
The 19-year-old is certainly one for the future. At the same time, however, he would provide stiff competition for Cresswell and Masuaku right now. This one seems like an absolute no-brainer for Moyes.
