Jonathan Ross gives Ray Winstone hilarious West Ham gift on TV in front of watching millions

TV presenter Jonathan Ross comes from a family of West Ham fans and so does celebrity Hammer Ray Winstone.

Jonathan Ross was born and raised in West Ham heartland Leytonstone and his brother Paul is a huge Hammers fan.

And world renowned actor Ray Winstone is among the club’s most famous supporters.

So when the two met on Ross’ hugely popular Saturday night TV chat show, it was inevitable West Ham would get a mention.

And so they did.

Ross gave Winstone a hilarious West Ham gift on TV in front of the watching millions.

One of those was the West Ham fanatic’s role as Gary Dove in cult classic gangster film Sexy Beast.

Winstone is famous for the yellow Speedos he sports by the pool on the movie.

After talking about the famous swimming trunks, Ross reminded the nation Winstone is a big West Ham fan.

And he raised a laugh when he said: “Ray is sad all year round because he supports West Ham”.

The presenter then shared a gift with Winstone – a replica pair of those yellow Sexy Beast Speedos but with the West Ham crest on the front.

Winstone found the gift funny but it remains to be seen if he wears them on his next holiday.

Last year Winstone was unveiled as the mystery buyer of a painting depicting a bespectacled West Ham fan hitting a rival at the Chelsea game last season.

Winstone once had a chance meeting with former Hammers hooligan Cass Pennant.
