Jesse Lingard has taken to Instagram to thank West Ham after winning the award for the best individual performance last season.

The 28-year-old spent four months on loan with the Hammers and he was a huge hit at the London Stadium.

The West Ham fans absolutely loved Jesse but unfortunately he returned to Manchester United and he is currently fighting to force his way into Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s starting XI.

Who knows…Jesse may well one day return to the London Stadium. As things stand, however, it’s not looking good.

Jesse Lingard sends Instagram message to the West Ham fans

The 28-year-old Manchester United ace clearly enjoyed his time in East London.

And he posted the below message to his Instagram account after being awarded with the best individual performance accolade from last season:

What a performance it was from Lingard against Wolves. The England International scored a goal and chalked up two assists during our 3-2 win at Molineux.

Had West Ham lost that game, we would not have qualified for the Europa League due to an inferior goal difference to Tottenham.

Lingard’s message will undoubtedly stir emotion amongst the West Ham fans.

As mentioned earlier, perhaps we will one day see him again playing in the famous Claret and Blue.
