Giant West Ham crest from Upton Park was found mothballing in storage

It had been in storage since Upton Park was demolished in 2016.

It emerged its owner was willing to sell the crest for £8,750. So West Ham fan group Hammers United implored Sullivan and Gold to do right by the club’s history and buy it back.

“Hammers United purchased the crest on Saturday morning,” the statement reads.

“Thanks to Trevor and Sanjai for their efforts towards getting this over the line. Huge thanks to Ben and Jason Hayes at D Durrants Removals for collecting and to Sean Burke for filming.
