West Ham United have been heavily linked with a £16 million move for defender Nayef Aguerd.
Moyes is desperate to sign a new defender after the departure of Fabian Balbuena left the Hammers with just three senior centre-backs.
West Ham have been linked with Aguerd over the last week or so with the Rennes and Morocco star said to be valued at £16m (Sport360).

Hammers linked with move for versatile defender Aguerd
Not only is the 25-year-old a centre-back, but he can also play at left-back – another position Moyes needs to strengthen.
Football Insider claimed West Ham co-owner David Sullivan was leading the negotiations to get Aguerd signed.
But now West Ham insiders Claret and Hugh have delivered their verdict, saying talk Moyes wants Aguerd is ‘total tosh’.

Insiders claim new links to Morocco international are ‘tosh’
“Reports this morning from Football Insider that the Hammers are chasing £16m rated central defender Nayef Aguerd have been described by the club this morning as “total tosh”,” Claret and Hugh state.
“A well placed London Stadium insider made it clear there was “nothing in the story at all” and that the player is not on a list of names prepared by the manager.”
West Ham have also been linked with the likes of James Tarkowski, Nikola Milenkovic and Nikola Maksimovic.
David Moyes simply must sign a striker and he is also keen to make Jesse Lingard a permanent capture from Manchester United.

Moyes needs to get moving in the transfer window
West Ham also need central midfield back-up for Tomas Soucek and Declan Rice, even if Manuel Lanzini has showed glimpses of being able to operate in that role.
A goalkeeper could also be on the agenda with West Ham having to start to think about a long term successor to Lukasz Fabianski.
And brilliant PSG reserve goalkeeper Alphonse Areola – who shone on loan at Fulham last season – has been heavily linked with the Hammers in another loan but with the option to buy.
And it’s coming closer to home for West Ham fans – quite literally.
