Danny Murphy suggested that West Ham United Declan Rice is a dead cert to be included in the England squad for the Euros this summer, when writing a column for the Daily Mail.

Murphy also theorised that the 22-year-old has added another string to his bow by becoming the Hammers’ penalty taker. He did criticise the midfielder’s technique from the spot, however.
Rice has been absolutely phenomenal for West Ham over the past two years or so.

The 13-capped England international has been a standout performer for the Hammers this season and it seems as though he has found another level.
He is clearly West Ham’s most important player and David Moyes will be doing everything in his power to ensure that he keeps the 22-year-old at the London Stadium for the foreseeable future.
Danny Murphy a huge fan of Declan Rice
It could be argued that Dec is actually the best defensive midfielder in the Premier League already. That’s quite a statement considering his tender years.
Danny Murphy praised Rice, when writing his column for the Daily Mail. He suggested that the West Ham youngster has already established himself as a key member of the England team:

“So many good young English midfielders are being talked up for the Euros. But Declan has already established himself in Gareth Southgate’s plans. Now he has added penalties, he might even be an asset in a shootout this summer! I loved a penalty myself and was a bit worried he started with a straight run-up before shifting to give himself an angle.”
In fairness to Rice, he tucked his penalty away beautifully against Sheffield United.
The young West Ham star has fully established himself as an all-action hero at the London Stadium.
And with Mark Noble currently out of the team, he now shoulders the responsibility of the captain’s armband and from the spot as well.
Declan Rice is well and truly our talismanic superstar. Let’s just hope that he remains at the London Stadium for the foreseeable future.
