Aaron Wan-Bissaka has been called up to play in an important match for DR Congo in the upcoming international break.
Congo will face either New Caledonia or Jamaica in an inter-confederation play-off final for a place at the 2026 World Cup.
This means that Wan-Bissaka could be up against former West Ham teammate Michail Antonio in Guadalajara, Mexico.

Antonio’s Jamaica could play Wan-Bissaka’s Congo in World Cup play-off
Wan-Bissaka played for England at the under-20 and under-21 levels before switching allegiance to Congo in August.
He made his debut in a 4-1 World Cup qualification victory over South Sudan and played in the recent Africa Cup of Nations.
The right-back’s next challenge will be to help Congo qualify for the World Cup in the United States, Canada and Mexico this summer.
After finishing second to Senegal in the qualification standings, the Leopards must win another game to make the tournament.
This is more likely to be against Jamaica than New Caledonia, which could set up a reunion for Wan-Bissaka and Antonio.

Antonio has not represented the Reggae Boyz for several months, but he is available for selection.
The ex-West Ham forward recently signed for Al-Sailiya in the Qatar Stars League after rejecting an offer from Charlton Athletic.
He will be desperate to return to the Jamaican team and potentially beat Wan-Bissaka’s Congo to a place at the World Cup.
