Honest Harry Kane praises West Ham United and the job done by David Moyes after Tottenham Hotspur suffered defeat again at the London Stadium.
West Ham beat their bitter rivals Tottenham Hotspur once again – this time 1-0 thanks to a goal from Michail Antonio.
West Ham’s in-form number nine Antonio pounced to fire home from an Aaron Cresswell corner as Moyes’s side moved up to fourth place in the table.
Kane’s role in West Ham’s goal was scrutinised after the game.
The Spurs and England striker was – somewhat bizarrely – charged with marking West Ham’s dangerman for the set-piece.
And Kane was slow to react as Antonio instinctively fired home. Some used it as a stick with which to beat Kane, claiming he did not look committed.
In truth he was probably wondering why he – on course to become the Premier League and England’s record all-time goalscorer – is marking West Ham’s only striker for a corner.
There is no love lost between West Ham and Tottenham.
But the Hammers have had the upper hand in this fixture in recent times.
Nuno Espirito Santo embarrassed himself after the game by trying to claim Spurs were the better side at the London Stadium.
But credit where it is due to honest Harry Kane after the forward refused to make excuses following Tottenham’s defeat.

And he praised West Ham and the job done by Moyes in making them into a top side.
“It’s a tough place to come away from home,” Kane admitted in an interview with Spurs’s media team after the game.
“Obviously West Ham have been great now for the last season or so.
“They’ve been doing really well so we knew it would be a tough game…
“It wasn’t our day, wasn’t our game but we’ve just got to move on now.”
Fair play to Kane. Perhaps he can give his manager a few pointers being gracious in defeat.
