Angry former Spurs star Jamie O’Hara says only one Tottenham Hotspur player would get in the West Ham United team after the latest Hammers win.

West Ham beat their bitter rivals Tottenham once again – this time 1-0 thanks to a goal from Michail Antonio.

West Ham’s in-form number nine Antonio pounced to fire home from an Aaron Cresswell corner as David Moyes’s side moved up to fourth place in the table.

There is no love lost between West Ham and Tottenham.

And the Hammers are a team going very much in the right direction under Moyes while Spurs have fallen way below the standards set during the Mauricio Pochettino era.

After West Ham beat Everton and then Genk in the Europa League on Thursday night – their third win in three games in Europe so far this season – lifelong Tottenham fan and former player O’Hara said the east Londoners have surpassed his old club and Arsenal to become London’s second best team behind Chelsea (talkSPORT).

And after seeing West Ham run out winners over Tottenham at the London Stadium, O’Hara claimed only one Spurs player would get in the current West Ham side.

“The embarrassing thing is I look at Spurs team and I think do any of our players even get in West Ham’s side right now,” O’Hara said on Twitter.

“Maybe (Heung Min) Son, that’s how far we’ve fallen.”

It’s difficult to argue with O’Hara given the alarming drop off in Harry Kane’s performances since he was denied a summer move to Manchester City.

But O’Hara is also extremely patronising by saying that fact shows how far Spurs have fallen.

There has never been a huge gulf between the teams.

Perhaps for two or three seasons under Pochettino, Tottenham were undeniably a much better side.

So it is yet another example of just why West Ham fans can’t stand their Tottenham counterparts – misplaced arrogance.

At least O’Hara is honest enough to front up and admit the Hammers are hands down a better side right now.
