Lucas Paqueta allegedly could be back in time to face Bournemouth on Monday night, after the shoulder injury that he suffered against Southampton.

That’s according to a report from club insiders Claret and Hugh who claim that Paqueta hasn’t broken his shoulder, and the club are hopeful that he could return to action as soon as Monday night!

What a huge turn up for the books that would be.

Lucas Paqueta himself took to Instagram after the shoulder injury that he suffered on Sunday, and suggested that he would be out for around two weeks.

So this latest claim from Claret and Hugh really is an unsurprisingly welcome one.

Let’s hope that the Brazilian is indeed fit for the game against Bournemouth, because we really missed his creativity against Liverpool…

Claret and Hugh reckon that there is a chance that the 25-year-old will be available for selection for Monday’s clash with Bournemouth.

What a massive boost that would be for David Moyes and the club in general.

Paqueta joined the Hammers from Lyon in the summer transfer window for a club record £51 million fee (The Times).

The 25-year-old play-maker looks like the real deal, and has already bagged two assists for West Ham.

He is the kind of player who tries to make things happen all the time. And as a result, he will sometimes lose the ball. Kevin De Bruyne is the perfect example of this.

As long as Moyes, and the fans, are patient with him, and he is allowed to express himself, I’m confident that he will go on to be a true great for the Hammers.

If we are to finish anywhere near the top seven again this season, we will need him to be on his very best form between now and May.

It’s great news that the Lucas Paqueta injury isn’t as bad as first feared.

And having him back for the Bournemouth game would be a massive bonus.
