Henry Winter has called for the West Ham owners to do something as he watched the game against Nottingham Forest at the London Stadium.
The Hammers started the game strongly, in what was a must-win relegation six-pointer against Sean Dyche’s side.
Murillo’s own goal meant that West Ham took a 1-0 lead, easing the sack pressure on Nuno Espirito Santo momentarily.
HEARTBREAKER! How are you feeling after Hammers 1-2 Forest 💔
The defeat which sends West Ham down?
However, Forest equalised through a header from Nicolas Dominguez to level things up before Morgan Gibbs-White scored a penalty late on to win it for the visitors.
The final score was 2-1 in favour of Nottingham Forest.
Henry Winter reacts to empty seats at London Stadium
Winter was at the London Stadium for the game against Forest and he noticed a number of empty seats.
The fans staged a protest against the owners, whose poor governance of the club has put the team on the brink of relegation.
This is shocking! 😰 Relegation is going to be dire for West Ham…
What would YOU do to avoid this mess?
West Ham are now seven points away from safety and such a feat this late in the season has only been overcome once, when Leicester City famously staged the great escape and won the league the following year.
The former Times journalist has urged the owners to listen to the fans and ensure that things are done to address their issues before it is too late.
Winter wrote on X: “Empty seats at the London Stadium further reflecting West Ham fans’ frustration with the board. Really bad look for the club and owners. They have to wake up and address fans’ concerns.”

Can Nuno Espirito Santo survive the West Ham sack?
Questions have been asked of the owners for years, but more urgently, Nuno’s future is in danger.
When he took over, while the Hammers were in 19th, they were just a point from safety.
Now, they are seven points adrift of 17th place, and the writing could be on the wall for the Portuguese manager.
While he has been backed with the players he wanted in the January transfer window, the owners may panic and bring in someone to get an instant reaction.
David Sullivan has a huge decision to make, and regardless of what he decides, the fans are not going to be pleased with him for getting them into this situation to begin with.
