Nuno Espirito Santo appears to have fallen out with another West Ham United player as things go from bad to worse

Nuno Espirito Santo just does not seem to be able to catch a break as West Ham United manager.

He took over from Graham Potter to steady the ship and get the Hammers out of the relegation zone, but that has not happened.

After West Ham’s 3-0 defeat to Wolves, pressure has mounted on Nuno and the Nottingham Forest clash has now become a must-win game for him.

Humiliation at Molineux…

Where does this rank among West Ham's WORST ever Premier League defeats?

Jarrod Bowen of West Ham United appears dejected during the Premier League match between Wolverhampton Wanderers and West Ham United at Molineux on January 03, 2026 in Wolverhampton, England.

Nuno Espirito Santo has fallen out with Callum Wilson

Since his arrival at the London Stadium, Nuno has had his favourites and certain players whom he has not trusted.

Given his past relationship with James Ward-Prowse at Nottingham Forest, the English midfielder has been banished from the first team since the Portuguese’s arrival.

He has not been included in matchday squads and there has been a clear falling out between the duo, which has not been resolved.

If you could replace Nuno with one out-of-work manager, who are you picking?

And why?

The same now seems to be the case for Callum Wilson, who appears to be on the cusp of a London Stadium exit.

According to The Athletic, the striker has opened talks with the club about leaving in the January transfer window.

This is in the aftermath of the Hammers signing two new strikers over the last few days, Pablo and Taty Castellanos.

It seems evident that Nuno and Wilson have had a falling out, and it could be a point of no return for the striker.

Has Wilson played his last game for West Ham?

Despite there being no recognised striker other than Wilson in recent weeks, Nuno continued to start Jarrod Bowen as the number nine, and Lucas Paqueta and Crysencio Summerville as the two tens behind him.

This was a clear indicator that the manager does not rate the 33-year-old highly and is sending a message to the board that help was needed in January.

With two new strikers arriving, Wilson is now third in the pecking order, which has led to him having exit talks with the hierarchy.

The Hammers could look to get whatever they can from his exit in the coming weeks, and there remains a very good chance that he has played his last game for the club.
