Anthony Taylor has been named as the referee for the Bournemouth vs West Ham United clash on Sunday.
West Ham travel to Bournemouth tomorrow afternoon in a game where the outcome will have huge ramifications to our hopes of avoiding relegation.
The referee has been named as Anthony Taylor, according to the Premier League’s official website.

Now, West Ham fans will know all about Taylor. He gave arguably one of the most farcical decisions in our recent history just 17 months ago.
And the last thing we need against Bournemouth is someone who has made such a shocking error against us in the past…

The West Ham fans will be very familiar with Taylor.
He was the man who quite ridiculously sent off Vladimir Coufal during our clash with Arsenal at the Emirates in 2021.
It was arguably the worst call I have ever seen made in a Premier League game. Coufal made a tackle on Alexandre Lacazette and won the ball – he didn’t even go in with much force.
Inexplicably though, he was handed a second yellow card and given his marching orders. Arsenal were given a penalty and the rest is history – West Ham lost the game 2-0 in the end.
We really could do without Taylor having another shocker during our clash with the Cherries tomorrow.
West Ham need a draw at the very worst against Bournemouth tomorrow. A win would be great if we really want to put some distance between ourselves and the drop zone.
In my opinion though, having someone in charge who made such a glaring error when refereeing one of our games really isn’t ideal.
