Forgotten man Maxwel Cornet is looking super sharp in West Ham training ahead of the Aston Villa clash as David Moyes dispels a myth.
Maxwel Cornet, remember him West Ham fans?
Cornet had been out for five months but had also barely featured prior to that for West Ham when he made a comeback in the Europa Conference League win at AEK Larnaca earlier this year.
West Ham fans, famed for their cockney wit, aimed a typically funny chant at the forgotten Hammers star that night.
Despite an impressive cameo that night, the £17.5m signing from Burnley has again barely been seen since.

Lack of game time has seen suggestions Moyes does not fancy Cornet – especially after reports West Ham were happy to sell him in the summer
Many thought this season would be a clean slate for Cornet at West Ham. But he is a permanent presence on the Hammers bench.
The likes of Everton were heavily linked with a move for the Ivory Coast international in the summer but opted against a move.
Cornet’s lack of action has given rise to rumours that David Moyes does not fancy the left-sided star.
It has previously been claimed that Moyes was unhappy when Cornet elected to do the majority of his rehab in France rather than at West Ham last season.

The inference is that he has effectively been cast aside ever since.
But forgotten man Cornet is looking super sharp in West Ham training ahead of the Aston Villa clash as Moyes dispels myth.
West Ham have posted a lengthy behind the scenes video from training at Rush Green ahead of the trip to Villa Park.
And Cornet features prominently, looking much more like the player West Ham paid Burnley that money for over a year ago.

If Moyes doesn’t like Cornet then he has a funny way of showing it!
The attacker combines excellently with the likes of Lucas Paqueta in the footage, pulling out some audacious skills, looking menacing in front of goal and laying on assists.
He also looked very quick during sprint drills.
But perhaps most significant was footage showing him being greeted warmly by Moyes and sporting director Mark Noble.
“Morning Maxi!” Moyes says to Cornet as he gives the Ivorian a high five before he hugs Noble.
It really wasn’t the greeting of a manager who has ostracised or dislikes a player. And Cornet himself looks happy and enthused during the session.
Let’s hope this can be a fresh start for Cornet at West Ham. He could almost be like a new signing such has been his lack of game time since arriving at the London Stadium.
