Ex West Ham man Edin Terzic has landed the Borussia Dortmund top job and could be a useful transfer connection.
Terzic joined West Ham as assistant to Slaven Bilic in 2015 having worked with him at Besiktas previously.
Terzic was an integral part of the management setup which led West Ham to one of their best ever Premier League seasons in that memorable Farewell Boleyn campaign.

Had it not been for a joint league highest 14 draws that season, West Ham would have comfortably finished in the Champions League places. Instead they missed out by just four points.
While West Ham have been enjoying amazing success under David Moyes, Terzic too has seen his career continue on an upward curve.
The German-Croatian was named interim boss of Borussia Dortmund back for a spell in the 2020/21 season. But Marco Rose was given the gig ahead of him for the season just gone.

Now, though, it appears Dortmund regretted their decision.
Because ex West Ham man Terzic has been given the Borussia Dortmund top job and and could be a useful transfer connection for the Hammers.
Dortmund made the official announcement on Monday and have named Terzic their new manager on a contract until 2025.
And West Ham could have a very useful transfer connection as a result.

Despite leaving West Ham when Bilic was sacked, Terzic – like Bilic – is believed to have parted on good terms with the Hammers.
Dortmund are famed for cultivating top young talent and have a big squad which is set to be added to this summer.
West Ham have been linked with soon to be out-of-contract Dortmund defender Dan-Axel Zagadou. And there are a handful of Yellow and Black fringe players who might be useful additions for the Hammers.

Not least Dutch forward Donyell Malen – who Moyes named as a player of interest to him during last summer’s Euros.
Malen has only made 20 Bundesliga starts for Dortmund since signing last summer, scoring five goals.
The German giants have just signed the supremely talented striker Karim Adeyemi to replace Erling Haaland too so Malen’s hopes of being a regular starter look bleak.

With Terzic at Dortmund, where he was youth team coach previously, perhaps West Ham now have an “in” at the club if Moyes does try for any of their players.
And he may put a good word in for West Ham if Moyes is in for free agent Zagadou.
West Ham should certainly explore the chance to have an open line of communication between the two clubs.
