Everton could be ready to blow West Ham out of the water for Lazio ace Joaquin Correa according to a report from Calciomercato.it.
Italy24News recently claimed that Hammers boss David Moyes wants to bring the Argentinian winger to the London Stadium this summer.
Everton could well scupper that plan, however.
West Ham need to bolster in all departments this summer. In fairness, the last thing we need is another winger.
Felipe Anderson has left to rejoin Lazio, however, and Andriy Yarmolenko has been heavily linked with an exit from the London Stadium.
Lazio ace Correa would be a really useful addition for the Hammers. It seems as though we don’t have much of a chance to sign the 26-year-old now, however.
Everton to blow West Ham away in race for Joaquin Correa
Calciomercato.it claims that the Toffees are ready to make a bid for the Lazio flyer.
The Serie A giants allegedly want at least €35 million (£30 million) for the 26-year-old star.
There is no way West Ham will be spending that kind of money on a winger. Everton, meanwhile, have more than enough financial firepower to bring the South American to Goodison Park.
The South American has electric pace and exceptional balance according to well-renowned scouting website Total Football Analysis.
It will be a shame for the Hammers to miss out on Correa.
In truth though, Moyes has far more pressing issues that need to be addressed this summer.
