Did a shouting West Ham United fan change Aaron Cresswell and Pablo Fornals corner kick plan which resulted in the Hammers getting the winner against Spurs?

West Ham beat their bitter rivals Tottenham Hotspur once again at the weekend – this time 1-0 thanks to a goal from Michail Antonio.

West Ham’s in-form number nine Antonio pounced to fire home from a Cresswell corner as Moyes’s side moved up to fourth place in the table.

But do West Ham have one of their fans to thank for that all-important winner?

RONALDO NEEDS TO STOP WHINING.

West Ham are the Premier League’s kings of set-pieces, scoring more and conceding less than any other side from them over the last season or so.

It comes from diligent work on the training ground by Moyes and the likes of Paul Nevin and Kevin Nolan.

Supporters watching the game will remember Cresswell and Fornals were initially stood over the ball, seemingly with the intention of carrying out a short corner set play routine.

Did shouting West Ham fan change Aaron Cresswell and Pablo Fornals corner kick plan for winner against Spurs?

Following the win over Spurs, West Ham released their usual brilliant Behind The Scenes video.

And those listening carefully just after the nine minute mark will hear one West Ham fan shouting at Cresswell and Fornals when they were deliberating over taking a short corner.

The Hammers supporter shouts ‘Get it in’ five or six times followed by ‘Just get it in Cress’.

After a bit of hesitancy Cresswell and Fornals abandon the short corner and the left-back sends in his wicked cross for Antonio to strike as he registered yet another assist on his tally.

Talk about the fans being the 12th man, quite literally in this case!

Now that’s what you call team work. Brilliant stuff.

Some so-called experts – and even West Ham supporting pundit Ian ‘The Moose’ Abrahams – claimed the Hammers would struggle with fans being back this season.

That was always a load of garbage. But here is unequivocal proof that in actual fact we are helping the team perhaps more than many realise.

Come. On. You. Irons.
