Declan Rice has posted a message on social media that’s specifically aimed at West Ham fans and it will bring back great memories.
Ask West Ham fans to name their two favourite players of a memorable last few years and both Declan Rice and Craig Dawson wouldn’t be far off.
West Ham were forced to sell Ballon Dawson to Wolves for a paltry £3.5m as he needed to move further north for family reasons.
And when Rice made it clear he would not be signing a new contract with the Hammers, the club were essentially forced to sell him to Arsenal for £105m in the summer.

There may be over £100m between their values in the transfer market but both were priceless for West Ham during an unforgettable period under David Moyes.
Hammers supporters still take great pride in seeing Dawson shine for Wolves as he sealed cult hero status during his time in east London.
For some West Ham fans things are a bit different with Rice given his decision to push for a move to a London rival like Arsenal.
But his latest activity on social media feels very much directed to Hammers supporters.

Rice has posted a message on social media that’s specifically aimed at West Ham fans and it will bring back great memories.
Taking to his Instagram Stories, Rice posted a picture embracing Dawson in the tunnel after Arsenal’s win over Wolves.
“Pleasure to see this legend again!” Rice said alongside the picture and a heart emoji.
“What a guy, miss you mate.”
It’s enough to bring a nostalgic tear to the eye for West Ham fans.
Memories of that night in Lyon particularly come to the fore when looking at Rice’s post.
And it’s nice to see Dec clearly reaching out to West Ham fans among his following – because it’s not something Gunners fans would be interested in.
Let’s hope West Ham can make new memories with the current team this season.
