The 22-year-old West Ham ace speaks with such maturity, poise and intelligence.

Declan Rice delivers impressive response to Toni Kroos question

He was asked about coming up against the 31-year-old midfielder when England face Germany on Tuesday night.

Dec’s response was as a classy one and it oozed humility, modesty and confidence all at the same time, as quoted by WHUFC.com:

“He’s world-class but for me and the other midfield players in our team, we want to test ourselves against the best and you need to impose your game on him, get up to the ball, make it physical, make it hard and stop him doing what he does best, which is spraying it around the pitch.”

That response from our Declan really is a hugely impressive one.

Firstly, he displayed humility by praising Kroos to the hilt. The next bit is really important, however.

Rice proved that he is fearless by suggesting that he is ready to go up against any player in world football, regardless of their reputation or what they have achieved in the game. And what’s more, he backs himself to succeed.

It is clear and obvious to see that the 22-year-old relishes facing the world’s best players. In fact, it’s clear that it helps bring out the best in him.
