It was a day from hell for West Ham fans after two incidents around the 5-0 drubbing at Fulham on Sunday afternoon.
West Ham fans of a certain age will attest that we have seen the real ‘West Ham way’ this week.
Because for many it is proper West Ham heritage to go away and beat bitter rivals Spurs only to lose 5-0 to Fulham a few days later.
Illness has swept through the Hammers camp and fans were left feeling sick with what was probably the worst performance of the David Moyes era.
It was the salt in the wound of a terrible away trip for many Hammers supporters.
In fact it was a day from hell for West Ham fans after two incidents around 5-0 drubbing at Fulham.
First a large group of West Ham supporters were delayed en route to watching their team take a hiding when their boat crashed into Hammersmith Bridge.
The boat – The Emerald of London – did not fit under the bridge and banged into it before making a U-turn to jeers from the West Ham fans aboard.

Then during the game, access to a section of the away end at Craven Cottage was restricted after one unfortunate West Ham fan fell and suffered head injuries.
Thankfully the supporter received medical treatment and was released from hospital last night according to club source Sean Whetstone.
So a day to forget for everyone connected to West Ham.
The humbling defeat on the pitch saw the Hammers miss out on the chance to rise up to sixth in the Premier League.
And is a major setback for their European qualification hopes this season.
West Ham’s players, fans and staff all need to take a rest this week ahead of a big home double header against Freiburg and Wolves.
