A West Ham United reporter has explained in detail how the relationship between David Moyes and Tim Steidten is working out.
Tim Steidten was appointed as the West Ham director of football in July, and has worked alongside David Moyes in bringing new signings to the club.
The Hammers signed Edson Alvarez, Konstantinos Mavropanos, Mohammed Kudus and James Ward-Prowse in the summer transfer window, and Steidten was believed to be the driving force behind bringing the first three names to the club.
There were claims made recently that Moyes and Steidten have completely different philosophies – something that makes working together very hard indeed.
Whether there is any truth to that can’t be proven either way. There are those who love to push the narrative that the Scot and the German do not get on, but it that really the case?

David Sullivan confidant makes David Moyes and Tim Steidten claim
There are still question marks as to exactly how the manager and the director of football operate together at the London Stadium.
Sean Whetstone – a reporter with very close links to West Ham co-owner David Sullivan, has made a fresh claim about the relationship shared between Moyes and Sullivan.
He took to X to outline just how close the Scot and the German are and explained a pre-match ritual that the duo share together:
There you have it, all seems perfectly fine between West Ham manager David Moyes and DOF Tim Steidten doesn’t it.
I’m sure that the two men have differing views when it comes to which players should be brought into the club, but that’s football isn’t it – we all view the game differently.
As long as Moyes and Steidten are prepared to be open minded about player recruitment, there is no reason why they can’t both work together.
If that turns out not to be the case though, and one of the two are too stubborn to listen to the other person’s views and opinions, then the relationship will not work in the long run.
