David Moyes will be signing a new contract to remain West Ham manager beyond this season.
And he has the backing of the club’s owners David Sullivan, Daniel Kretinsky and co despite a poor start to the year.
That is according to the top contact inside West Ham speaking to Hammers News overnight.
With no wins in 2024 so far following the 3-0 defeat at Man United, Moyes is seeing his West Ham future called into question once more.
The Hammers are winless in six games since the turn of the year. And many West Ham fans remain unhappy with the style of play and approach.
Speculation and debate rages
Speculation has been rife over Moyes’ future at West Ham.
Ahead of games against Man United and Arsenal, the Scot said talks to extend his contract are “well down the line” and he expects it to be sorted soon.
That did not go down well with a section of Hammers supporters who feel a change is needed this summer.

The results were somewhat shocking with 57% of the 5,000 fans who voted answering ‘No’.
The owners are unperturbed, though. Both by that poll and the team’s results so far this year.

And the top Hammers source says the manager will be staying and should not be judged on a bad start to the year.
‘Judge over seasons not weeks’
“Yes we fully intend to renew the manager’s contract, subject to terms,” the key insider told Hammers News.
“We’ve had a bad start to the year, but it is early days.
“You need to judge managers over seasons, not weeks.”
There have been mitigating circumstances to West Ham’s struggles. Injuries and absences impacted performances and results in January. And some costly individual errors in matches have been beyond Moyes’ control.
But it says everything about the divide among fans over the manager that unrest has bubbled to the surface so quickly – just over a month on from a victory at Arsenal which ended 2023 on a high.
This should at least put the recent unhelpful speculation over the manager’s future to bed ahead of the big game against Arsenal.
