Vladimir Coufal has made the right-back position his own since moving to the London Stadium.

Fredericks, signed from Fulham on a free transfer in the summer of 2018, is a useful option to have, however, especially when we are playing the top teams away from home.

“Ryan Fredericks picked up a little bit of a groin strain which is not serious, but he is touch and go so we will see how he is today after training.”

Whatever you think about Fredericks, not having him available tomorrow will be a big blow for West Ham.

Man City will come at us hard and fast tomorrow. And having the 28-year-old playing in the right-wing role to help provide cover for Vladimir Coufal may well have been an option that Moyes utilised tomorrow.

The Hammers will have to be at their very best if they are to have any chance whatsoever of beating City tomorrow.

If we are well-organised, as we have been all season, we should make it difficult for Pep Guardiola’s side. And having Fredericks available will undoubtedly help us nullify Manchester City’s threat.

Let’s just hope that he passes his late fitness test!
