The Hammers are currently flying high in fourth spot in the Premier League table, two points clear of fifth placed Chelsea.

David Moyes deserves huge credit for the incredible job he has done since taking over at the London Stadium for the second time in December 2019.

West Ham look like a real proper outfit this season. We are a well-organised, well-drilled side and look more than capable of mixing it with most teams.

Ian Wright delivers West Ham top four verdict

The Hammers do have some incredibly tough games on the horizon. So the top four picture will become a lot clearer over the course of the next month or so.

Ian Wright suggested that West Ham are at least capable of finishing inside the Champions League spots as long as Michail Antonio remains fit for the remainder of the campaign, Wrighty’s House podcast:

“Well obviously they need to keep Michail Antonio fit for the rest of the season, confidence-wise and momentum wise I don’t think they should fear anyone. They are in the top four at this stage of the season and whatever happens now it is brilliant what they are doing. West Ham should now be looking for me to kick on until they literally run out of gas and then bam that’s it we can’t do any more we have run out of petrol. They’ve got to keep going because it is time to do that. When people say ‘can they stay there?’ [I say] they shouldn’t be afraid of anyone but at the same time, you have to say I would be worried about them if Michail Antonio gets injured.”

West Ham are currently two points clear of Chelsea and five ahead of Liverpool and Everton.

The Hammers have 13 games remaining this season, and if we are to have any chance of finishing inside the top four we need to be targeting at least six wins and a few draws.

It’s doable. But we need to be at our very best.

Whatever happens this season, it certainly feels like a great time to be a West Ham fan. Let the good times roll!
