Rio Ferdinand shared what West Ham captain Mark Noble told him about Jesse Lingard, when speaking to his official YouTube channel.
The 28-year-old joined the Hammers on loan from Manchester United in January.
And Lingard has made an incredible impact already at the London Stadium.
The 24-capped England international has three goals in four games to his name already for West Ham.
He has proven to be a sensational signing by David Moyes. And Champions League football now seems like a very real possibility with Lingard amongst our ranks.
Rio Ferdinand shares what Mark Noble told him about Jesse Lingard
Let’s just hope that the Hammers are able to sign him permanently in the summer.
Rio Ferdinand highlighted just how much of a hit Lingard has been since moving to East London by sharing what Mark Noble told him about the 28-year-old play-maker, when speaking to his official YouTube channel:
“I spoke to Mark Noble the other day, and he said: ‘I can’t believe Rio how good and impressed I am by this kid, the way he plays. I knew he was a good player, don’t get me wrong. But he’s surprised me with how good he is, actually’.”
Lingard has clearly made a massive impression on his West Ham teammates already.
If the 28-year-old keeps this form up for the Hammers, he will surely be in contention for a place in Gareth Southgate’s England squad for the Euros this summer.
Let’s just enjoy Jesse while we’ve got him. He is a truly outstanding player.
And if West Ham manage to sign him permanently at the end of the season, it will be a real coup for the East London outfit.
