Forget the disallowed goal or Sander Berge handball because the ref’s biggest mistake in West Ham’s draw with Burnley went unnoticed.
That’s according to raging West Ham boss David Moyes following the 2-2 draw with the Premier League strugglers.
West Ham and Moyes only have themselves to blame for dropping two big points at the London Stadium.
The way the Hammers played to find themselves 2-0 down at half-time – against one of the worst teams in Prem history – was unacceptable.
Lightning strikes twice for Hammers
But West Ham did show resilience and character to fight back after the break. And the officials certainly didn’t help.
After being robbed of a last minute penalty for handball in the Europa League in midweek, the same thing happened again against the Clarets.
And that came after goal hero Danny Ings had seen another effort chalked off for the tightest offside decision of the season on Michail Antonio.
But forget the disallowed goal or Berge handball.

Moyes says Bowen decision is worst of the lot
Because Moyes says the most infuriating ref blunder of West Ham’s draw with Burnley went completely unnoticed.
The Hammers manager said the decision that actually angered him most was a wrongful offside call on Jarrod Bowen by the assistant referee.
Bowen was put through on goal but play was halted when the assistant ref raised his flag.
That’s despite the assistants being instructed to let play continue for VAR to check.
“The decisions today went so badly against us,” Moyes said post match.
‘He puts his flag up, I’ve seen it and he’s onside’
“The offside for the goal, then there is one in the first half where the linesman puts his flag up and Jarrod Bowen is onside.
“Even if he wasn’t, the rules are supposed to be that you wait until he’s got to be sure he’s offside. He doesn’t. He puts his flag up straight away and I’ve seen it and he’s onside.
“Then you’ve got Sander Berge heads the ball or tries to head the ball in front and it hits his arms. There have been quite a few decisions today which really went against us.
“The small margins didn’t go for us today. It is no excuse for how we started or how we played in the first half but I couldn’t fault the players for what they did in the second half, in fact I’d praise them.”
