David Moyes has provided an injury update on West Ham ace Michail Antonio after he was seen hobbling off down the tunnel at the full-time whistle last night.

And Antonio didn’t disappoint. Aside from his two goals, the experienced forward was a constant menace for the Gent defenders all night long – until he was substituted off in the 70th minute.

The Hammers boss addressed the media after last night’s brilliant 4-1 win in the Europa Conference League quarter-final.

And Moyes responded when asked if Antonio is ok after he was seen limping down the tunnel at the end of the game, as quoted by Football.London:

“I’ve not really had a chance to see because I’ve been doing most of the media stuff. He looked as if he took a couple of knocks from the back in the first half, but it didn’t stop him from scoring a really good second goal. Hopefully, that will give him a lot of confidence as well.”

Hopefully the 33-year-old is fit and ready to go for our huge Premier League clash with Bournemouth on Sunday afternoon.

Michail Antonio has been poor for the majority of this season for West Ham.

However, the fact that he seems to be finding his best form at just the right time is a huge boost for us as a club, and the player himself of course.

Let’s hope that we see Micky back to his best between now and the end of the season.
