David Moyes seems determined to bring a Germany international to West Ham United in the January transfer window.
The upcoming January transfer window will be a crucial one for West Ham manager David Moyes, with one or two signings needed desperately.
The Hammers could well be on the look-out for another centre-back, with Nayef Aguerd set to head off for AFCON with Morocco, and Kurt Zouma continuing to struggle with his fitness.
Jonathan Tah is someone who has been heavily linked with a move to West Ham for a while now, and 21-capped Germany international recently admitted that he could be open to leaving Bayer Leverkusen.
The towering 6ft 5in centre-back is a top-class defender, and he would be a superb addition to Moyes’s ranks.
It seems as though the Scot is a very big fan of the Leverkusen star…

David Moyes eyeing Bayer Leverkusen January raid
The 27-year-old is firmly on the Hammers’ radar ahead of the January transfer window it seems.
Football journalist Paul Brown has told Give Me Sport that Moyes has performed several scouting missions on Tah:
“It’s interesting that they’d be going for a central defender because they seem quite well stocked there. That would suggest that somebody is leaving if they were to do a deal like that. Tah is actually someone who’s been on their radar for two or three years. I know that Moyes personally is a big fan of that player. He’s been to watch him personally over the years.“
Tah would be the ideal signing for West Ham as far as i’m concerned.
He has the physicality needed to succeed in the Premier League, and he would be a very solid long-term successor for Zouma.
The 27-year-old has vast experience of playing at the very highest level, and he would add a real level of authority and composure to our defending.
Whether Leverkusen will be willing to sell him midway through the season is doubtful though in my opinion. And I think David Moyes may well have to look elsewhere in the January transfer window.
