The Scot has worked wonders since returning to the London Stadium as Hammers boss in December 2019.

The transformation that has overseen at West Ham really has been incredible.

The Scot has done more than enough to earn a new long-term deal.

And Moyes told reporters today how he has already spoken to co-owner David Sullivan about a possible new contract, as quoted by Football.London:

“I have no intentions of going anywhere. I have already spoken with David Sullivan and we are quietly ticking things along the truth is I don’t want anything to get in the way of what we are doing just now. So I am not going to come out and say ‘I am signing a big contract’ or doing anything else just now that in any way might change things around. I just really want to go about the job and try to be professional.”

Wherever West Ham finish in the table this season, Moyes will surely be at the London Stadium next season.

Sullivan really should be giving the Scot some job security, however, by offering him a long-term deal. He has undoubtedly earned that.

And if Moyes guides the Hammers to a top six finish this season, he really will be in a position of power in the summer when the negotiations start.

Keeping David Moyes at the London Stadium may well be one of the most important pieces of business that David Sullivan can get done this summer.
