West Ham have been told to pay £25 million if they want to sign Brentford striker Ivan Toney this summer, according to a report from the Sun (21 February, page 62). And some Hammers fans have reacted to the news on Twitter.

Eurosport recently claimed that Brentford hitman Ivan Toney is one player being targeted by West Ham ahead of the summer transfer window.


And now the Sun (21 February, page 62) claims that the 24-year-old will set the Hammers back around £25 million.

In this day and age, that seems like brilliant value for West Ham.

Brentford ace Toney has racked up 24 goals and nine assists in 30 league games so far (Transfermarkt).

The 24-year-old has electric pace, is prolific in front of goal and is a real handful for opposing defenders.

And some West Ham fans have pleaded with their board to part with the cash needed to snare Ivan Toney this summer….
