West Ham lost 2-1 to Leicester Tuesday afternoon – a result that a actually relegated the Foxes in the end, and David Moyes spoke to reporters after the match.

The Hammers players coasted in all honesty, with a Europa Conference League final on the horizon.
The likes of Declan Rice were clearly not fully committed so as to avoid any injuries just 10 days before the final.

The 60-year-old Scot addressed the media after the Hammers- 2-1 defeat to Leicester at the King Power Stadium yesterday.
And Moyes took the time to praise the performance of his captain Declan Rice, as quoted by Football.London:
“I thought he played great. It was another swashbuckling performance from him at times today. I am really pleased how well he has played for us over the season, he has been exceptional and a credit to himself.”
I have to say, I don’t think it was one of Rice’s better performances yesterday by quite a long way. However, he just doesn’t really have a bad game does he.
His stats were still pretty good yesterday in fairness to him. Rice had 92 touches, and registered a pass completion rate of 95%. He also made one clearance, one interception and one key pass (Who Scored).
The thing is, he has set the standards so high now that a 7/10 performance from him actually looks below average.
And that’s why we will miss him so much when he eventually leaves West Han United.
