There has been much talk about Daniel Kretinsky potentially being the answer to West Ham’s problems – but now a sensational new reveal about Jarrod Bowen will prove his true intentions.
Is Czech billionaire Daniel Kretinsky really West Ham’s knight in shining armour?
Well the Hammers are about to find out very quickly thanks to Jarrod Bowen.
Disgruntled West Ham fans have got the outcomes they so desperately wanted after years of protests after David Sullivan followed Karren Brady out of the London Stadium exit.
Bowen revelation will smoke out Kretinsky’s true West Ham intentions
Before Brady left, her last order of business was to oversee Kretinsky increasing his West Ham stake to over 40 per cent by buying up some of the Gold family shares.
Sullivan followed suit but has since resigned, meaning Kretinsky will be the club’s key decision marker moving forward.
How do you feel NOW about a full Daniel Kretinsky takeover? 💰
Sullivan out at all costs? Or has the Czech ship sailed?
Many West Ham fans have wanted the Czech Sphinx to complete a full takeover.
Indeed that was the perceived plan when the Sparta Prague owner bought 27 per cent of the club for around £150m in 2021.

Doubt has been cast over whether Kretinsky has the appetite for a full Hammers takeover.
Kretinsky played down the prospect of owning West Ham outright in a TV interview two years ago.
Things may have changed since then.
Kretinsky was named the 24th wealthiest person on the Sunday Times’ 2026 Rich List, so he certainly has the money to spend on West Ham.
But his actions after a monumental reveal about captain and talisman Bowen will go a long way to proving his ambition and true intentions.
Bowen puts ball in Kretinsky’s court over his West Ham future
There has been intense speculation over Bowen’s future since the Hammers were relegated.
Stunning claims that Bowen has told West Ham he wants to stay were backed up by journalist this week.
What are you most looking forward to about the 2026/27 Championship season? 👀
New signings? Millwall clashes? Youngsters getting a chance? No VAR? Or something else? ⚒️
The Hammers skipper hinted at that with his words during interviews after the club’s demotion to the Championship was confirmed on the final day.
Now it has more or less come from the horse’s mouth because Bowen’s father-in-law and West Ham fanatic Danny Dyer has confirmed he wants to remain at the London Stadium next season.

Speaking on The Wayne Rooney Show, the celebrity Hammer Dyer said: “I know he (Bowen) wants to stay but I’ve got no answers about that at all.
“He’s devastated by it (relegation). I can’t tell you how much he takes it to heart.”
So if Bowen wants to stay, as has now been confirmed by his father-in-law, then Kretinsky has absolutely no excuse but to make it happen.
Other players, such as Mateus Fernandes, Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Jean-Clair Todibo and Crysencio Summerville, can be sold to help balance the books.
Kretinsky can then also pump some of his own vast wealth into West Ham to ensure the club bounces straight back to the Premier League.
Key to that will be keeping Bowen, who would be a sure bet to score at least 30 goals in the second tier.
Before he left, Sullivan confirmed West Ham wanted to keep Bowen.
Now he has gone, Hammers fans will see the colour of Kretinsky’s money in making that happen.
If Bowen is sold despite declaring he wants to stay then Kretinsky is no better than those who have gone before him from Terry Brown through to Sullivan and co.
Keeping the talisman will be the biggest single indicator of Kretinsky’s true ambitions and intentions for the club.
After all, what is £40-60m – the fee West Ham would likely be able to command a player who turns 30 this year – compared to the £150m plus promotion back to the big time is worth to the club?
Bowen has put the ball firmly in Kretinsky’s court – now he must prove he really cares about West Ham beyond it being part of his vast and diverse business empire.
