West Ham United head coach Julen Lopetegui managed to seal a deal for Crysencio Summerville this summer.
Crysencio Summerville is an exceptional footballer, and Julen Lopetegui – alongside Tim Steidten and the board of course – deserves huge credit for bringing him to West Ham.
It has been claimed that the Hammers have signed him for as little as £20 million as well – an unbelievably good deal in this day and age.
He completed his move to West Ham United on Saturday, after travelling down to London to undergo his medical.
The left winger possesses explosive pace and has real end product – something we’ve been crying out for on the left hand flank for quite some time now.
Summerville bagged an impressive 21 goals and 10 assists in 49 appearances for Leeds United last season, and if he could replicate anything like that at the London Stadium he’d be well worth the money.
On paper, he is the absolute perfect signing for the Hammers, and I fully expect him to be a really important addition to Lopetegui’s ranks.

The Hammers fans are absolutely buzzing that the club managed to get a deal for the winger over the line.
And hopefully we’ll get to see him in action against Celta Vigo at the London Stadium next weekend.
The former Leeds attacker seems equally as excited to have joined West Ham, and is relishing getting his Hammers career underway.
Summerville sat down to speak to WHUFC.com after he officially completed his move to the London Stadium from Leeds.
He opened up on his first meeting with Lopetegui, and shared what the Hammers head coach told him.
Summerville said, “He [Lopetegui] told me that he remembered me from when I played against him, and that he was an admirer of me. He said he wanted to work with me, and that he thought I could make a contribution to the team, which was obviously nice to hear.“
“He also said that he thought he could help me with my development, which was good. He is a straight talker, which is something I really like, because it means I know what he expects of me, and after speaking to him I was sure he was the right person to help take my career to the next level,” the 22-year-old continued.
That is extremely exciting to hear isn’t it.
Firstly, the mere fact that we have a manager now who has that kind of pull, it’s just so refreshing.
There is a real feeling that players want to come to the London Stadium to play under Lopetegui, rather than just use us as a stepping stone for their careers.
Secondly, the thought of Crysencio Summerville improving under Julen Lopetegui is an incredibly exciting one.
The 22-year-old is already an elite young talent, with his explosive pace and output in the final third sure to take West Ham to another level.
However, should Summerville reach another level this season, we really could have a superstar in the making on our hands.
