Rice’s energy, stamina and drive in the middle of the park is infectious. And he is now undoubtedly the first name on David Moyes’ team-sheet at the London Stadium.

Numerous big clubs have been linked with a move for the Hammers midfielder this summer.

The 22-year-old is highly regarded in East London, however. So much so that the West Ham owners will not entertain any offers less than £100 million for him according to talkSPORT’s Jim White.

Dec has obviously made a huge impression on everyone involved in Premier League football this season.

That includes Craig Dawson.

The 30-year-old centre-back named Rice as the best player at West Ham, when speaking during a Q&A session for the club’s official Twitter account:

We already knew just how good Declan Rice was. And Craig Dawson has just confirmed that with his comments.

Let’s just hope that we manage to keep the 22-year-old at the London Stadium for the foreseeable future!
