‘Could be a memorable season’: Paul Merson has made a two-goal West Ham vs Manchester United prediction.
West Ham play host to Manchester United at the London Stadium on Sunday evening, and Paul Merson has made his prediction for the game when writing his column for Sportskeeda.

The Hammers need a result to pretty much guarantee our Premier League status for another season, whilst Man United are desperate for all three points with the race for the top four really starting to heat up.

David Moyes has received heavy criticism this season, but a good result against Manchester United would then allow him to focus purely on bringing a trophy to the London Stadium – something that no West Ham manager has done since 1980.
In my opinion, a draw will probably be enough to score our safety. What does Paul Merson think will be the outcome though?
Paul Merson makes two-goal West Ham vs Manchester United prediction
The well-renowned pundit football pundit has predicted a tight game at the London Stadium this weekend.
Merson said:

“Manchester United have been terrible away from home this season. They played alright against Brighton, but the seagulls were better in the second half and scored a deserved stoppage-time winner to secure all three points. I think this game will end 1-1, but I still fancy Man United to secure a top-four finish this season. As for West Ham, I don’t see them getting relegated and they also have the UEFA Conference League semi-final to look forward to, so the 2022-23 season could still be memorable for the Hammers. Man United’s current front three is Martial, Rashford and Antony, but I think there will be changes this summer. They are 16 points behind Manchester City at the moment and the same team next season will not get anywhere close to the Premier League title.”
Prediction: West Ham 1-1 Manchester United
I would take that result all day long. As mentioned earlier, it would probably be enough to keep us in the Premier League for at least one more season.
Hopefully the boys will be right up for this one and Moyes is able to call upon some of his key players who missed the Manchester City game.
The West Ham vs Manchester United clash should be an absolute corker, and I really feel like we can get a result.
