A top source inside West Ham has responded to anger over season ticket prices and the big question over the manager.

West Ham announced season ticket renewal prices on Wednesday.

And there has been anger among many Hammers fans over price hikes for many Bands.

On average, season ticket prices at the London Stadium have risen by around seven per cent.

Bands one to four have all risen by over six per cent while Bands five and six are up 10 per cent and over 11 per cent respectively.

Some fans angry over season ticket price hikes

West Ham season ticket holders received their information by email on Wednesday, and the renewal deadline has been set at Monday 3 June.

That is just two weeks after West Ham’s final Premier League game of the season at Man City on May 19th. And less than two weeks after the Europa League final should the Hammers make it that far.

Many supporters have made it clear they are not happy with the price rises. And fans have also said they want to know who the manager will be before renewing with David Moyes’ future undecided at present.

Now the club has responded to season ticket anger and the big question over the West Ham manager decision.

Senior West Ham source responds to situation

A senior source inside West Ham has told Hammers News that the plan remains to decide on Moyes’ future at the end of the season with a ‘tough’ run of fixtures ahead.

And the club source has also highlighted big ticket price hikes at rival London clubs supporters want West Ham to compete with.

“The season ticket holders should look at the prices at Arsenal, Spurs, Chelsea who they expect us to compete with,” the senior source told Hammers News.

“In some areas the savings (for ST holders) are 50 per cent compared to match by match, it’s mad really.

‘They will decide our season’

“We will still have the cheapest season tickets in the Premier League.

“The managerial situation will be resolved at the end of the season.

“We have tough fixtures coming up in both league and cup, but they will decide our season.”

In the renewal information, West Ham insist the club remains committed to Affordable Family Football.

It is therefore making Under 18 season tickets available from just £109, which the club claims is still currently one of the cheapest junior STs in the top flight.
