The 22-year-old has been the Hammers’ best and most consistent player for the past two seasons or so.
Rice seems to have found an entirely new level over the past 12 months.
He has been rewarded with 13 caps for England and the West Ham captain’s armband when Mark Noble doesn’t play.
The Chelsea academy graduate, who earns around £60k-a-week (Daily Star) is now David Moyes’s most important player at the London Stadium.
He is powerful, energetic, dynamic, strong in possession and possesses an absolutely wonderful array of passing.

Anyone who doesn’t rate Rice must hate West Ham, it really is as simple as that.
Clinton Morrison a huge fan of Declan Rice
The Hammers’ hopes of finishing inside the top six or seven this season will hinge heavily on the 22-year-old’s ability to maintain his fine form between now and May.
Sky Sports pundit Clinton Morrison spoke incredibly highly of Rice, when speaking on Amazon Prime on Saturday (January 16th, 14:42):

“He just makes the game look so easy. He makes it look easy, he’s one of those players who you just love watching. He does the simple things but makes it look so easy, and he can drive forward as well.”
Keeping hold of Declan Rice should be one of West Ham’s main priorities over the course of the next few years.
It will be so important for us to match his ambition, however, if we are to have any chance of keeping him for the foreseeable future.
Whether the Hammers board are prepared to do that, however, remains to be seen.
