Well-renowned BBC pundit Chris Sutton has just warned the West Ham United fans about David Moyes.
West Ham United are flying high right now under David Moyes, and Chris Sutton shared a warning for the fans who are calling for the Scot’s head.
Moyes’s contract with the Hammers is due to expire at the end of the season, and he has apparently told friends that he will not be the manager of West Ham next term.
It’s a funny one isn’t it. The majority of Hammers fans are fed up with the football being deployed by the 60-year-old, but you can’t argue with the results he gets.
After taking over at the club for the second time in December 2019, Moyes kept us up and then led us to sixth and seventh placed finished over the next two seasons.
West Ham fell off in the Premier League last season but Moyes guided us to European glory, as the team lifted our first major trophy since 1980! With all of that in mind, Sutton has shared a strong warning for the Hammers fans…
Chris Sutton warns West Ham fans about David Moyes
The Scot definitely deserves more credit from some sections of the West Ham fanbase, myself included!
When sharing his prediction for the Arsenal vs West Ham clash, BBC pundit Sutton urged the Hammers fans to be more appreciative of the job that Moyes has done at the London Stadium:
“This is a tricky one for Arsenal. West Ham are in good form, up to sixth place in the table, and always awkward to break down. Hammers boss David Moyes is so underrated and also seemingly unappreciated by some fans, no matter how well his side do. I think it is a case where they should be careful what they wish for. Still, I am going with Arsenal here. They are at home, where they have won their past seven matches in all competitions, and although West Ham will work hard, they won’t keep them out.”
It’s so hard to argue against Moyes’s record since returning to West Ham.
Yes, the football is atrocious to watch at times, but is that something that we’re just going to have to accept as long as Moyes keeps getting results? I suspect that is exactly the case.
It will be interesting to see where we are sitting come the end of the season.
Chris Sutton has urged the West Ham fans to be more grateful for the job that David Moyes has done. And as harsh as I have been to the Scot throughout the years, I think Sutton may well have a point.
