Big Matias Soule twist emerges and West Ham transfer could be on

Matias Soule leaving Juventus to join West Ham United this summer is seemingly a real possibility.

The Juventus starlet is a player who the Hammers have been heavily linked with signing already this summer.

West Ham signing Matias Soule in the summer transfer window would be a major statement from the club, and it seems like Julen Lopetegui is being backed heavily.

The Spaniard has already considerably strengthened his ranks at the London Stadium, with the additions of Luis Guilherme, Max Kilman and Wes Foderingham.

However, he will be fully aware that many more new signings are required, if he is to achieve what’s expected of him at West Ham.

Whilst Soule may not be a priority signing for Lopetegui, he’s certainly a name to get the Hammers fans excited.

And a big twist has now emerged, leaving the door wide open for the West Ham head coach to bring the Argentina international to the London Stadium this summer…

Big Matias Soule twist and West Ham transfer could be on

The Hammers are making serious waves in the transfer window this summer, and the signing of the 21-year-old Juventus attacker would be a big statement.

According to a report from Tuttosport, West Ham are actually still in the race to sign Soule from Juventus this summer.

That’s a really big update considering it was being claimed that the Hammers had fallen behind the likes of Leicester and Roma in the race for Soule.

The 21-year-old Argentinian is an elite young talent. Football Talent Scout describe him as a player with ‘exceptional technical ability’.

Now, he’s a left-footed right winger – a role that we have well covered. However, you can never have too many good players, and who knows where Mohammed Kudus or Jarrod Bowen will be next year?

I have no doubts that the Juventus star will make a big name for himself in the game.

He possesses enviable pace and as mentioned earlier, is a really impressive technician.

The South American bagged 11 goals and three assists n 36 games during a loan spell with Frosinone last season.

So he clearly has real output inside the final third. Tuttosport claim that Juve are demanding £30 million for the winger – great value in this day and age.

I would love Matias Soule at West Ham, but it remains to be seen whether Lopetegui feels as though he needs to prioritise strengthening other positions first and foremost.
