West Ham United lost 2-1 to Liverpool at Anfield on Sunday, but Arne Slot was hugely impressed by two of our players.
In fairness to Graham Potter and his West Ham players, they really did deserve a result against Liverpool.
The Hammers were the better team for large spells of the second-half.
The West Ham fans were confused after seeing Graham Potter’s starting XI ahead of the game.

The inclusion of players like Carlos Soler and Konstantinos Mavropanos, and the omission of Niclas Fullkrug was baffling to say the least.
However, the performance in general was one of our better ones in recent months.
Arne Slot raves about West Ham stars Mohammed Kudus and Lucas Paqueta
Mohammed Kudus and Lucas Paqueta both caught Slot’s eye at Anfield on Sunday.
The Liverpool fans were actually stunned by how good Paqueta was in particular.
It was interesting that Slot didn’t actually name-check the Hammers’ best player – Jarrod Bowen.
However, the Liverpool boss explained how the fact that we have players like Paqueta and Kudus proves just how strong the Premier League is right now, as quoted by The Mirror:
“They also have players and that’s what makes the Premier League so strong this season,” he explained.

“I think they’re 16th or 17th in the league but I can name you one or two players that could easily have played with us today as well in terms of quality.
“I think Paqueta and Kudus were outstanding today, especially second half.”
Jarrod Bowen unlucky to be overlooked by Arne Slot
Bowen is by far and away our best player.
Sure, Kudus and Paqueta may have more more elegant playing styles than Jarrod, but it’s not even close when it comes to which player is the most productive for the Hammers.
Mohammed Kudus and Lucas Paqueta both have the ability to be world-beaters for West Ham, but Jarrod Bowen is on another level to them as far as I’m concerned.
Let’s hope that the Hammers are able to keep hold of all three players for many years still to come.
However, I suspect that Bowen will be the only one out of the three still at the London Stadium next season.
