Jarrod Bowen’s omission from the England squad continues to drive debate among West Ham fans.
While England are through to the next round of the World Cup after winning their group, not everyone is happy.
Many have criticised the way in which Thomas Tuchel’s side have played thus far. Though the 4-2 win over Croatia in Dallas was entertaining, the Three Lions have laboured of late.

Bukayo Saka has rarely been fully fit during the tournament, while Arsenal teammate Noni Madueke has not overly impressed.
It makes the fact that Bowen was left out of England’s World Cup squad all the more confusing.
Supporters have told Hammers News that they are not happy about it.

The website asked their readers and subscribers across the TalkingPoints platform what they thought Tuchel was thinking having watched his wide forwards struggle against Ghana.
In all truth, they weren’t much better in Saturday’s 2-0 win over Panama, with Jude Bellingham proving his country’s saviour once again by stepping up with a goal and an assist in the second half.

England were dreadful vs Ghana… 🏴 🇬🇭
One fan said: “England are like watching a Sunday league team. Bowen better off here.”
Another added: “My squad would have included Bowen, Gibbs-White, Colwill, Charlie Cresswell and Rico Lewis.”
This supporter claimed: “Leaving Bowen out was ridiculous, how can you trust a Manager who cannot see the best English right wide man, he obviously doesn’t check the stats or maybe it’s because he’s with West Ham!!!!”
“You only need to look at last season’s stats to see Bowen is the better player [than Madueke],” was another comment.

“Bowen always thinks of going forward, unlike Madueke who passed back more than anything else! He took on his fullback ONCE!” claimed another fan.

Bowen’s future at West Ham remains uncertain. The forward has been linked with a move away from east London following the club’s relegation from the Premier League, but all hope is not yet lost.
Bowen clearly has deep roots in the area and is a legend with the club, having scored the most famous goal in their modern history in the Conference League final against Fiorentina back in the summer of 2023.
