West Ham United captain Jarrod Bowen has NOT been included in England’s confirmed squad for the 2026 World Cup.

While this has clearly been a poor season for West Ham United, forward Bowen has still contributed eight goals and ten assists in 37 Premier League games.

He is one of the most prolific Englishmen playing in the Premier League, but that has still not been enough to convince Thomas Tuchel he is worthy of a place in the squad.

The 29-year-old has 22 caps for his country but will not get the chance to add to those in the United States, Canada and Mexico this summer.

Bowen snubbed in favour of Noni Madueke in England squad

For the second World Cup in a row, Bowen has been overlooked.

While Arsenal’s Bukayo Saka was always expected to start for England, Tuchel has chosen not to include Bowen in a support role.

That honour instead falls to Saka’s Arsenal teammate Noni Madueke, a player who Bowen has consistently outscored at Premier League level.

Bowen had been tipped to make the England squad and has largely been a fixture in Tuchel’s recent squads despite a lack of game time, so his total omission has to be seen as something of a surprise.
