Angry Hammers boss David Moyes says he was baffled by West Ham pitch invaders during the Europa League draw with Lyon.
The 10-men of West Ham battled to a brave 1-1 draw at home against a Lyon side employing the dark arts blighting European football.
Aaron Cresswell was ludicrously giving his marching orders off just before half-time by Zwayer who barely gave West Ham a decision all game long. The sending off completely changed the complexion of the game.

And to rub salt in the wound the German ref pandered to every Lyon dive and moan.
Despite Cresswell’s laughable dismissal, it was actually West Ham who took the lead when Jarrod Bowen pounced to fire home in the box after some excellent play from man of the match Pablo Fornals.
Typically substitute Tete, the Brazilian FIFA loophole signing who Moyes felt should not be allowed to play in the competition, made the telling contribution for Lyon.

The lively winger beat Ben Johnson and fired the ball across the box with Spurs reject Tanguy NDombele tapping home when West Ham failed to clear their lines.
With the tie at 1-1 Lyon ahead of the return leg in France next week, Lyon will be favourites.
But 11 against 11 West Ham are more than a match for the Ligue 1 also-rans and will be boosted by the return of Manuel Lanzini who was sorely missed at the London Stadium.

What certainly did not help matters was several pitch invasions – seemingly by West Ham supporters.
Not only did it add to the time added on at the end of a game where the Hammers were hanging on.
But one invasion came as West Ham had worked themselves into a brilliant position on the edge of the Lyon box and threatened to get a crucial second goal.
The supporter, who was wearing a West Ham shirt but could quite easily have been a rival fan with a ticket in the home end, was chastised by Hammers fans and had objects thrown at him as he was taken away by stewards.

The supporter who invaded the pitch while West Ham were on the edge of the Lyon box was goading the home fans as he was taken away, raising question marks over whether he was a Hammers fan.
After the incident West Ham supporters chanted ‘do your job’ at the London Stadium stewards.
Speaking in his press conference after the game, an angry Moyes said he was baffled by the West Ham pitch invaders during the Europa League draw with Lyon.

“I was (completely baffled by the fans invading the pitch during play),” Moyes said (Football.London).
“This is a really good football club doing so many good things to improve.
“But those things didn’t help the team.”
Whoever they were they should hang their heads in shame.
