Amanda Staveley has now made it clear West Ham are one of the few clubs that fit her big plan – just as Hammers News revealed two years ago.

Back in August 2024, Hammers News reported that the mega rich financier Amanda Staveley was interested in West Ham after selling Newcastle.

Hammers News reported at the time that Staveley faced a choice between West Ham and Spurs.

We have been right across Staveley’s interest ever since, especially since her move to try and takeover bitter rivals Tottenham was snubbed last season.

Hammers News exclusively revealed the truth behind Staveley’s interest in West Ham last month.

We also exclusively revealed Staveley was still interested in West Ham despite Daniel Kretinsky increasing his stake by a very deliberate 16 per cent.

What STOOD OUT to you in Daniel Kretinsky’s statement?

The 'Czech Sphinx' has big ambitions…

There have always been question marks over Kretinsky’s appetite for full ownership of West Ham.

Had he wanted that, he would have bought more of the Gold family’s 25 per cent stake.

And he surely would not have sat in the shadows and waited for West Ham to sleepwalk to relegation, thus diminishing his asset.

Staveley has a personal war chest of £500m to invest in a new club after selling Newcastle to the Saudi PIF.

She is heading a US-backed consortium with billions behind them.

Staveley has been linked with both the Hammers and Newcastle, but London is said to be the preference for her and her US backers.

Staveley only wants club that’s underperforming – just like West Ham

Now Staveley has made it clear West Ham are one of the few clubs that fit her big plan.

Many West Ham fans will have seen rumours and pictures purporting to show Staveley and her husband Mehrdad Ghodoussi being shown around the London Stadium.

What do you think will be the biggest DIFFERENCE in the Kretinsky era? 🤔

Max Hahn's comments speak volumes…

Maximilian Hahn, assistant coach analysis of Darmstadt 98 poses during the team presentation at Merck-Stadion am Böllenfalltor on July 12, 2021 in Darmstadt, Germany.

Supporters may also have seen the financier, who also set up the takeover which transformed the fortunes of Man City, responded: “Maybe, you don’t know” when asked if she is interested in buying into West Ham by Spear’s.

But in comments Staveley later made in the same interview, she has dropped a huge hint the Hammers are one of very few clubs that fit what she wants in her next venture.

Because Staveley says she and her husband only want a club that isn’t doing well and is underperforming so they can turn it around.

“We really want to be buying or going in and investing in a club again very soon, hopefully,” Staveley told Spear’s.

“Both my husband and I, we’re attracted to building a business where we can take a brand that isn’t doing so well, a club that isn’t performing well and get it on the right road and bring that (club) forward.

“And they are very few clubs that tick that box, there’s actually very few clubs that allow that.”

A super ownership of Kretinsky and Staveley’s group combined would make West Ham seriously wealthy.

With David Sullivan’s 38.8 per cent stake likely up for sale, as well as some of the remaining nine per cent of the Gold family stake, any purchase – at around £5.6m per share – would inject over a quarter of a billion into West Ham’s coffers.
