New claims about Amanda Staveley launching a West Ham takeover but Hammers News can reveal the truth behind the situation.

Mega rich financier Amanda Staveley continues to be linked with a West Ham takeover bid.
Apart from being a leading figure in finance, Staveley is perhaps best known for being the key cog in setting up the Man City takeover before then arranging the Saudi PIF to make Newcastle the world’s richest sports team overnight – on paper at least.
At the end of last month, it was claimed Staveley and a team of US backers were eyeing a bid for West Ham.
Is Staveley more likely to buy West Ham if relegated?
Hammers News exclusively brought you West Ham’s response to the Staveley takeover claim.
In a nutshell, the Hammers made it clear David Sullivan was only interested in buying more West Ham shares, not selling.
How do you feel NOW about a full Daniel Kretinsky takeover? 💰
Sullivan out at all costs? Or has the Czech ship sailed?
That came after Sullivan exclusively confirmed to Hammers News he was matching co-owner Daniel Kretinsky in buying some of the Gold family’s West Ham shares to increase his stake – like the Czech billionaire – to over 40 per cent.
That appeared to put paid to any hopes of Staveley, who has amassed her own personal takeover war chest of £500m from the Newcastle deal, taking over the Hammers.

She has wanted in at another Premier League club ever since leaving Newcastle and saw talks with Spurs come to nothing earlier this season.
Now the truth about the Staveley West Ham takeover claims can be revealed after a new claim.
With West Ham’s Premier League lives on the line over the next three games, it feels like a sliding doors moment for the very future of the club.
After all a Premier League side is much more likely to attract investment than one languishing in the second tier.
Staveley and US backers have made West Ham takeover stance clear
However, football finance expert and former Manchester City adviser Stefan Borson has claimed relegation to the Championship could actually make West Ham a far more attractive proposition.
Borson believes Staveley could yet launch a bid for West Ham and relegation might help as it would lower the price she would have to pay.
What would you say if Sullivan put West Ham up for sale TODAY?
Let us know in the comments…
But Hammers News can reveal that, unfortunately in the eyes of many, that eventuality is not on the cards.
Hammers News can once again confirm Staveley is indeed keeping a close eye on whether a deal can be done to buy West Ham.

She is also interested in a potential return to Newcastle amid claims the Saudis are looking to pull out following their withdrawal from Liv Golf.
Hammers News has been told by a senior source with knowledge of the situation that Staveley and the mystery US backers prefer West Ham due to the London factor.
The consortium is not even put off by the fact West Ham don’t own their “home” ground.
But claims a Staveley-led takeover of the Irons would be more likely in the Championship are simply ‘not true’ according to the source.
Because she and her backers are ‘only interested in buying a Premier League club’.
In fact it is the single biggest caveat the group has regarding their next takeover move.
Therefore claims West Ham could be rescued by Staveley and some wealthy Americans in the Championship are ‘at worst inaccurate and at best wishful thinking’ according to the Hammers News source.
If Nuno Espirito Santo can somehow keep the Hammers up, though, then a Staveley takeover attempt could be very much on the cards.
Whether Sullivan and co would sell is another matter entirely and far from clear cut.
