10 West Ham youngsters to keep a very close eye on…

Joseph Anang

The 21-year-old goalkeeper has really impressed for the Hammers’ youth teams. He is agile and a great shot-stopper. Whether he is given the chance to prove himself next season, however, remains to be seen.

The 20-year-old seems to be a top class centre-back already. He is still very raw of course, but he has all of the basic ingredients needed to succeed at the very highest level.

Jamal Baptiste

At 17, Baptiste is probably the highest rated and best young player West Ham have. He is a truly exciting talent and we should all be paying close attention to his development over the next 12 months.

Frederik Alves

The 21-year-old centre-back arrived from Silkeborg in January. Everyone close to the young Dane has been talking up his ability. Next season could be the time for him to show us all what he’s truly capable of.

Emmanuel Longelo

The talented young left-back has just signed a new deal with the club. The 20-year-old is highly regarded at the London Stadium. Let’s hope we get a glimpse of him in action for the first-team next season.

Harrison Ashby

At right-back, we have the 19-year-old Scot. He really impressed last season when given the nod in the Carabao Cup games. Ashby has real talent and could be the long-term successor to Vladimir Coufal

Kai Corbett

The 18-year-old midfielder really is one to watch. He has so much talent. Perhaps not quite ready for first-team action, Corbett should play a key role for the under-18’s and under-23’s next season.

Armstrong Okoflex

A new arrival from Celtic, the 19-year-old has real talent. Will he live up to expectations at West Ham, however? Only time will tell.

Pierre Ekwah Elimby

Another new signing, Elimby joined West Ham from Chelsea earlier this month. The 19-year-old has absolutely everything and just maybe he will be the next player to become a top class performer at West Ham having been let go by Chelsea.

Mipo Odubeko

The 18-year-old striker has been prolific for the Hammers’ youth teams. He seems to be not quite ready for regular Premier League action but if given the chance, he might just surprise a few people.
