Nuno Espirito Santo has dropped Crysencio Summerville for West Ham United’s Premier League clash with Brighton and Hove Albion at the London Stadium.
The former Leeds ace has not scored a top-flight goal since October 2014, when Julen Lopetegui was in charge. And after the West Ham faithful expressed their frustration during the 1-0 defeat by Fulham last time out – Crysencio Summerville squandered some of the few openings Nuno Espirto Santo’s side created – he can have few complaints as he drops out of the starting XI.

Summerville out, and Wilson in…
In Summerville’s place, Callum Wilson comes back into the team for the first time since the 1-1 draw at Manchester United.

The rest of West Ham’s XI is unchanged from the side who were beaten by an 85th minute Raul Jimenez header on December 27th.
This means Ollie Scarles starts again at left-back, with Kyle Walker-Peters again stepping in for Aaron Wan-Bissaka on the right. Max Kilman partners Jean-Clair Todibo at centre-half, despite a growing clamour for Konstantinos Mavropanos to take his place.
Scarles was in tears at the London Stadium after he made a mess of a clearance immediately before Fulham’s late winner. As West Ham close in on FC Utrecht’s Souffian El Karouani, according to reports in the Netherlands, today would be a good time for Scarles to silence his critics.
